This HTML version of my thesis is produced by converting WordPerfect
files to HTML using wordperfect 8 from Corel Suite 8. Unfortunately this
conversion is not perfect and some errors have been introduced during this
conversion. All figures have been converted to GIF files from text boxes
that including both the figure legend and a tiff file of the figure that
has been scanned using a flatbed scanner. Generally this gave satisfactory
results although some images are still of poor quality due to scanning
and or conversion problems. Furthermore some of the greek characters such
as the alfa, beta and gamma were not recognized which is obviously rather
confusing. So far these errors have not been corrected.
